Key Roles & Responsibilities
A. Clinical & Patient Management
Conduct Gynecology and Obstetrics OPD consultations, examinations, diagnosis, and treatment.
Manage antenatal, postnatal, and high-risk pregnancy cases.
Provide comprehensive reproductive and women's healthcare services.
Manage gynecological disorders, menstrual problems, infertility-related consultations, and preventive screening.
Ensure appropriate clinical documentation, patient counselling, and follow-up care.
B. Delivery & Surgical Management
Conduct normal vaginal deliveries and assisted deliveries within approved clinical privileges.
Perform Caesarean sections (LSCS) and gynecological surgical procedures according to qualifications and hospital capabilities.
Manage obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, eclampsia, and other pregnancy-related complications.
Coordinate with anesthesia, pediatric/neonatal, nursing, and OT teams.
Ensure appropriate preoperative and postoperative management.
C. Department Coordination & Quality
Supervise maternity ward, labour room, and gynecology department clinical activities.
Ensure maternal and newborn safety through appropriate clinical coordination.
Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical quality standards.
Participate in emergency duty, consultant rounds, and clinical audits.
Follow applicable NABH standards and relevant medical regulations.
